Casa Ravella
Casa Ravella is a family winery, with roots dating back to 1567, which has been cultivating vineyards in Alt Penedès for centuries under the Penedès and Cava Denomination of Origin. Its estate, located in the picturesque valley of Ordal, extends over 200 hectares of vineyards that breathe the Mediterranean breeze at altitudes of between 325 and 410 metres above sea level, giving its wines a unique character.
The brief was to create an identity that reflected the winery's authenticity and deep connection to its surroundings. Our solution was to design a visual system for the labels that placed the terrain at the centre of the narrative.
Each wine, whether red, white or rosé, has a geometric die-cut on the front of its label that accurately reproduces the shape of the plot where it was grown. This design not only pays homage to the land, but also turns each bottle into a unique piece, visually linked to the specific place where the wine comes from.
In addition, on the back of the label, we include a general map of the estate showing all the plots. This resource allows the consumer to identify the exact origin of each wine and to understand how the front design connects to the terroir. On the white and rosé wines, the die-cut adds a level of transparency that allows a glimpse of the liquid, enhancing the sensory and visual experience of the product.
The Casa Ravella identity is not only aesthetic; it is a statement of the importance of the territory, of the uniqueness of each plot, and of the winemaking tradition that has endured for generations. The result is a design that, bottle after bottle, invites you to discover and enjoy the true character of the Alt Penedès.
