Mercado Little Spain
Mercado Little Spain is a visionary project led by José Andrés Group and brothers Ferrán and Albert Adrià, bringing the essence of Spain to the heart of New York. Located in the Hudson Yards shopping mall, this 4,000 m² space is a love letter to Spain's gastronomic and cultural diversity, offering an immersive experience that transports visitors to the flavours, colours and traditions of the country.
The market brings together the rich variety of Spanish food and drink, from a quick bite to a full dinner, through lively tapas tours.
In addition to its culinary offer, Mercado Little Spain stands out for its interior design, a vibrant space decorated with art, murals and furniture created by prominent Spanish artists, reflecting the cultural and artistic diversity that characterises the country.
For the design of the market's visual identity, we modernised the traditional discourse of Spanish gastronomy, providing a fresh, dynamic and iconic proposal.
The illustrations visually synthesise the general product offer, capturing the essence of Spanish cuisine in an agile and contemporary way.
The graphic system includes papercraft posters, highlighting emblematic products such as gazpacho, croquettes or Iberian ham.
Each piece communicates in a direct and emphatic way, with a style that combines authenticity and modernity, maintaining a purely Spanish accent.
In addition, we designed a consistent signage system for the market's 16 gastronomic stops, organising the visitor's experience in a clear and orderly manner.
This system not only ensures functionality, but also reinforces the visual identity of the space, consolidating Mercado Little Spain as an icon of Spanish design and gastronomy in New York.
