Leon
This musical project is a multidisciplinary celebration that combines music, audiovisuals and choreography around the theremin, commemorating the centenary of this iconic instrument, invented by Leon Theremin in 1919.
Beyond the instrument, the album pays tribute to the century of evolution of electronic music.
With the collaboration of The Pinker Tones, Quartet Brossa, Quartet Mèlt, and thereminists Jairo Moreno and Víctor Estrada, the album fuses tradition and sonic experimentation.
For the visual design, we were inspired by the sound modulation of the theremin, using its antenna as a key element to create a unique typography that defines the name LEON and structures the visual narrative of the album.
The design is completed with colours that evoke the era of the Russian Revolution, contextualising the historical moment of the theremin's invention and celebrating its impact on contemporary music and culture.
